We inform you, in compliance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Personal data will be processed by the BCB Connection and incorporated into the processing activity “General information queries” whose purpose is the processing of the query formulated. Purpose based on the exercise of the powers exercised by this body.
If you create a user account, the data you provide will be used to manage your account and to show your researcher profile in the directory of this portal:
- Your account email address is private: only the site administrators can see it. It is used to log in and to send you notifications from this portal, and we commit to never showing it publicly.
- All the other information in your researcher profile is public, including the public contact email you enter in it (which can be different from your account email).
- Your username is not shown publicly for now, but it will become public in the future, when messaging between users or public forums are enabled.
No third parties when you browse. Everything you see on this portal (fonts, icons, scripts and images, including those in news, Bluesky posts and descriptions) is served from our own server. Your browser does not connect to any other website while you browse it, so your IP address is not sent to anyone else. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. The Assistant runs on our own servers; your questions are not shared with third parties. Server access logs (including IP addresses) are kept for 14 days for security purposes and then deleted automatically.
When you register, you also apply to join the BCB Connection. Your application (type of application, BCB committees, institution and, for non-CSIC staff, the details of the confidentiality agreement) is sent to the BCB Connection management team so that they can process it:
- Your ID document number (DNI / NIE / passport) is not stored in this portal: it is only used to fill in the confidentiality agreement you download.
- The signed confidentiality agreement is not stored in this portal either: it is only sent by email to the BCB Connection management team.
- The rest of your application is kept in this portal and is only visible to the site administrators.
Personal data may be communicated to other competent services of other Administrations, when necessary to respond to your query. The data will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability of your data, limitation and opposition to its processing, as well as not to be subject to decisions based solely on the automated processing of your data, when applicable, using the contact form or at the email address delegadoprotecciondatos@csic.es. If applicable, you may also file a claim with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
