| Title | Control of viral epidemics in a context of climate change: Integrative approaches for plant health (ViPlant) |
| Description |
With the project "Control of Viral Epidemics in a Context of Climate Change: Integrative Approaches for Plant Health", the CEBAS-CSIC Plant Virology Group aims to consolidate itsscientific excellence and strengthen its international visibility in the field of plant virus research. Building on a strong track record of high-quality publications, patents, competitive funding, andtranslational impact, the group seeks to enhance its capacity to secure prestigious European grants, including ERC and Horizon Europe opportunities. The project will reinforce the group´sstructure, professionalize its research team, and foster multidisciplinary collaborations at national and international levels. It will also promote strategic partnerships with industry andstakeholders, translating research into practical solutions for sustainable crop protection under climate change. By focusing on integrative approaches to plant health, the plan positions thegroup as a leading reference in molecular plant virology and aligns with European priorities, including the Green Deal and the Farm to Fork strategy. This strategic activity will accelerateknowledge transfer, amplify the societal and economic impact of research, and strengthen the group´s capacity to address emerging viral epidemics with innovative, high-value approaches Principal investigator: Miguel Angel Aranda Regules Participants: Verónica Truniger Rietmann, Pedro Gómez López, Manuel Miras Marín, Livia Donaire Segarra, Cristina Alcaide Cabello, Francisco Eduardo Méndez López, Esperanza Gea Caballero, Jesús Enmanuel Rodríguez Úbeda, José Daniel Guillén Martínez, Juan Martinez Saez, Celia de Moya Ruiz |
