Conversion of thiad~azines into pyrazoles by the action of hydrazine represents a new example of ring transformation and provides a new entry into N-methylsulfarnide.The latter has been used to prepare an E-methyl-3,5-diam1nothiadiazine which cannot be obtained by dlrect alkylatian.For many years, there has been considerable interest in ring transformat~ans caused by the action of nucleophiles on heterocyclic compounds'.We now wish to report conversion of !-substituted
