Detalle de: Dynamic of the Genome in Cancer

Title Dynamic of the Genome in Cancer
Description

Our laboratory is dedicated to studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cancer development. The genome of cells can experience errors, but our bodies possess sophisticated DNA repair mechanisms that are essential for preventing genomic instability. This instability is a key factor in the onset of various diseases, including cancer. Gaining a deeper understanding of these mechanisms is not only crucial for better comprehending the disease, but also for developing new therapies specifically aimed at eliminating tumor cells by correcting or blocking genomic instability. In addition, our team investigates how the synergy between radiotherapy and immunotherapy can enhance cancer treatments—particularly in lung cancer—by optimizing therapeutic responses and boosting the effectiveness in eliminating malignant cells.
