Research scientist and microbiologist with experience in biodiversity, science communication and applied research. My work focuses on analysing how ecosystems respond to environmental stress, using advanced tools such as high-throughput sequencing (Illumina MiSeq) and data analysis with R to interpret complex patterns and develop sustainable conservation strategies. I have worked on projects focused on the recovery of soils degraded by fires and pollution, contributing to the identification of microbial bioindicators that serve as key tools to assess soil quality and design sustainable restoration strategies. I have also collaborated on studies on cancer biomarkers and on the impact of malnutrition on mental health from a gender perspective. Note: at the CSIC from April 2023 to November 2024, as research student and then research technician (MIDIVERSOIL project).
