I studied Biology because I've always been fascinated by understanding how life works. Thanks to several scholarships, I was able to explore areas like Molecular Biology, Immunology, Bioinformatics, and Biostatistics. This path has allowed me to build a profile that combines lab bench work (wet lab) with data analysis (dry lab). I'm doing my PhD at CABIMER (Seville). I research something that affects all of us, yet is curiously understudied: cardiovascular risk in women. My goal is to identify the molecular mechanisms that make the difference in our health, so that medicine stops extrapolating results from men and starts understanding our own biology. Alongside my PhD, I run a personal science communication project on social media.
