Biography

I am a PhD researcher in Applied Mathematics at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), supported by an FPI PhD fellowship funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, within the Computational Biology Group at the Misión Biológica de Galicia (MBG-CSIC). My work focuses on the modeling, optimization and control of dynamical systems, with particular emphasis on microbial communities: I combine mathematical and computational tools to understand their behavior and improve their management, developing simulation models with numerical methods and scientific computing tools.

I have experience in scientific programming and numerical methods, using MATLAB, Python, Julia and FreeFem++, as well as specialized software such as COMSOL and Ansys Fluent. I have participated in international conferences and research projects in computational biology, biophysics and mathematical modeling, collaborating with research groups at CSIC and partner universities.

I am interested in translating mathematical models into practical tools for decision-making, experimental design and behavior prediction in biological, industrial and environmental systems. I also work as a teaching assistant in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela.

Background: BSc in Physics and MSc in Industrial Mathematics (M2i).
