Víctor Gaya-Martín

I hold a degree in Biotechnology from UPV and a master in Bioinformatics from UV. I am currently doing my PhD on Information Technologies, Communications and Computing at the UV, under the supervision of Dra. Ana Conesa (Genomics of Gene Expression Lab) and Dr. Javier Buceta (The SiMBioSys Lab), as part of the Cells2Spine project.

Since I began collaborating with the GGE Lab I have been working on image alignment for Spatial Transcriptomics data—supported by a JAE-Intro internship and a Ayuda para la Colaboración en la Investigación (UV)—and subsequently as a laboratory technician for the project "FAIRification of IsoSeq Evidence-driven Annotation of Biodiversity". In November 2026, I started my doctoral studies, funded by an FPU fellowship from the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades.
