Effects of Environmental Contaminants · INIA

Biography

Graduate in Biochemistry with a master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to do an internship at the "Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos" in Toledo, where I took part in a published research project based on the activation of hepatic stellate cells after inducing spinal cord injury. During my master's degree, I deepened my knowledge of advanced experimental techniques and did laboratory work that helped me consolidate essential skills such as teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking and managing results in scientific environments. I have now embarked on the adventure of a PhD as a pre-doctoral researcher at the "Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria" (INIA-CSIC) in Madrid, where I am developing a project focused on the study of phenotypic, genetic and metabolic adaptations of rodents to environmental contaminants, with a special emphasis on anticoagulant rodenticides. My work combines molecular biology, cytotoxicity assays in cell lines and bioinformatic analysis of mass sequencing data.
