Every field—health, environment, marine ecosystems, time series—deals with uncertainty: incomplete data, noisy signals, processes that resist simple description. My work is designing statistical models that handle that uncertainty as honestly as possible. I hold an MSc in Biostatistics and currently work as a biostatistician at the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC), where I apply statistical modeling to fisheries resource assessment and marine population dynamics. During my MSc I also worked on spatial epidemiological modeling (master's thesis) and had brief hands-on exposure to genomic data pipelines.
