Detalle de: Bioinformatics unit at ibs.GRANADA

Title Bioinformatics unit at ibs.GRANADA
Description

The ibs.GRANADA Bioinformatics Platform offers researchers advanced statistical and data-mining techniques and up-to-date computational biology methods for the efficient management of biological and medical data, including tools to acquire, store, organise, analyse and visualise such data.

Services include:

  • Genetic sequence analysis: functional annotation, motif search and metabolic pathways
  • Population genetics analysis (GWAS), functional genomics and systems biology (gene-gene regulatory networks, protein-protein interaction networks, etc.)
  • Next Generation Sequencing (NGS): analysis of RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq and bisulfite sequencing experiments
  • Access to specialised databases for large-scale querying and data extraction (genomics, tissue expression data, etc.)
  • Automated analysis of clinical images and neuroimaging (CT, MRI, fMRI, etc.)
  • Building classifiers using machine learning and data-mining techniques
  • Data integration: merging and organising data from different sources
  • Creation and customisation of workflows and automated tasks
  • Advice on the bioinformatics needs and analyses required for project proposals
  • Design and delivery of training courses on bioinformatics tools
  • Advice on drafting Data Management Plans
  • Ad hoc advice on bioinformatics analysis
