In this project, we will build a computational pipeline for the annotation of new genomes based on long-read sequencing data coupled to ab initio gene prediction algorithms. The pipeline will be applied to the annotation of several biodiversity datasets from the ERGA (European Reference Genome Atlas) database. The project includes participation in training activities related to genome annotation.
