Use of omics methods to characterize uncultured microorganisms surviving in highly contaminated wastewater from a tannery in Tunisia. The objective is to apply metagenomics, single-cell genomics and transcriptomics to discover new metabolic pathways that could be used to develop bioremediation methods in areas affected by high hexavalent chromium content.
