Detalle de: The regulatory genome of human malaria mosquitoes

Title The regulatory genome of human malaria mosquitoes
Description

A malaria infection induces drastic and rapid phenotypic and gene expression changes in mosquitoes that relate to functions involved in immunity, development, physiology and reproduction. But there is very little knowledge about epigenetic mechanisms of gene regulation in these insects that are major disease vectors. We have investigated chromatin and transcriptomic changes elicited in malaria-infected Anopheles (DOI: 10.1186/s13072-018-0250-9), alternative splicing (DOI: 10.3389/fmala.2024.1347790), and identified the cis-regulatory elements and gene regulatory networks underlying mosquito responses to infection (DOI: 10.1093/nargab/lqaa113).
