Biography
|
Biologist, focused in the field of Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology. Currently, I am working on the development of bioinformatics tools and data analysis at the IHSM-CSIC-UMA. I did my Master's Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Malaga, where I was developing databases and an expression atlas following my Master's Thesis Project at IHSM-CSIC-UMA. Previously, during my Biology Degree, I developed a workflow for the detection of genetic variations in rare diseases at SCBI in UMA, where I took my first steps in the world of bioinformatics and programming. I am currently a PhD student in the Doctoral Programme in Cellular and Molecular Biology (University of Málaga). Since September 2023 he works as a bioinformatician at IHSM La Mayora (UMA-CSIC), developing bioinformatics tools and genomic portals for subtropical species and collaborating in data analysis for plant genomics and transcriptomics projects. Outside research, he has a background in the food industry (food safety in the Quality Department of Ubago Group Mare S.L.), was an intern animal keeper in the Department of Herpetology at Bioparc Fuengirola, and has combined science with music as a musician in national and international bands and as a music teacher in schools in Málaga. |
