Pedro Martínez Salas

PhD Candidate in Medicinal Chemistry. BSc in Organic Chemistry and MSc in Drug Discovery. Specialized in the field of Organic Synthesis and Computational Drug Discovery. Experience in pharma and biotechnological industries. Predoctoral Researcher (FPI Grant) at the Instituto de Química Médica (IQM-CSIC) since December 2023, working on sex dimorphism in migraine (thermo TRPs as hormonal and drug targets) and on the identification of novel TRPM8 channel modulators through molecular modeling and virtual screening. Previously Junior Research Fellow at the IQM (2022-2023), searching for new modulators and fluorescence biosensors for the study of protein interactions within Kv1.5 and Kv4.3 channelosomes as a source of new drugs for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, and Research Associate at Eurofins Villapharma Research (2021).
