Biography
|
Since September 2026 she works at Biorce (Barcelona), developing software to simulate clinical trials and to write statistical analysis plans. From 2022 to 2026 she was a postdoctoral researcher at I2SysBio (CSIC), where she developed SQANTI-reads, SQANTI-browser and MOSim. Bioinformatician and data analyst with 9+ years’ experience across multiple‑omics, and ageing biology. Developer and first author of MOSim (Bioconductor and Briefings in Bioinformatics), and first/corresponding author of field‑shaping work in long‑reads (Nature Reviews Genetics); discovery publications include Cell Reports and collaborative studies in Nature Aging and Molecular Metabolism. Experienced in end‑to‑end study design, QC, and reproducible pipelines (Python/R), with mentoring and community leadership (training committee, CSIC Junior BCB Hub co‑lead, board member of both CSIC BCB Hub and I2SysBio-CSIC). Education: Ph.D. in Natural Sciences 2022, Universität zu Köln (Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing; Outstanding); M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Universitat de València (Outstanding); Postgrad Diploma in Medical Genetics, Universitat de València; B.Sc. in Biology, Universitat de València (Excellent). Competitive funding (PI): Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (2024–2026); Oxford Nanopore Technologies grant (2025–); JAE Intro 2025 (2025-2026). Competitive funding (Contributor): Spain National Plan 2020; Max Planck Society projects (2019-2022), Private funding (Gilead, 2018), ISCIII (2017). Selected awards and recognition: 1st Prize Best Highlight Talk (JBI2025); 2nd Prize Best Flash Talk (SEH2Bioinfo, 2025); 2nd Prize Best PhD Thesis (SEBiBC, 2024); Best Poster Prize (SEBiBC Congress, 2024); invited keynote and national seminar speaker. |
